One of the leading tyre manufacturers – CEAT Tyres, has just announced that it has partnered with Chennai-based Royal Enfield to provide tyres for the Interceptor 650. With this, CEAT becomes the first Indian tyre manufacturer to provide rubber for a 650-cc motorcycle as an original fitment.
It is to be noted that so far, the Interceptor 650 used to come with Pirelli tyres, which are more expensive than the CEAT Zoom Cruz range. However, since the Government of India has banned the import of tyres to boost domestic manufacturing, the CEAT Zoom Cruz range are good alternatives.

CEAT already has an existing association with Royal Enfield, as the former also provides tyres for its range of other motorcycles, including the Classic, Himalayan, and the recently launched Meteor 350.

CEAT claims that the tyres provide excellent ride comfort and control while cruising at high speeds. That apart, the tyre pattern is designed to provide safety while you are leaning or cornering, and provides good traction on wet roads. The tyres for the motorcycle include the 100/90-18 Zoom Cruz, and 130/70-18 Zoom Cruz.
