Hyosung GV300S bobber launch has been confirmed for Europe but it is not expected to be India-bound anytime soon; reason in the story…
Looks like bobbers are the ‘in’ thing these days. After the Triumph Bonneville Bobber, we saw the newly resurrected Jawa come up with its Perak which looked brilliant and now we have Hyosung joining the bandwagon. The Korean motorcycle maker has revealed a cool new bobber which goes by the name – GV300 S.
GV300S is powered by a 300 cc, liquid cooled, 60 degree, V-twin, 4-valve engine which produces 30 bhp of peak power at 8500 rpm and 25.6 Nm of max torque at 6000 rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
One look at the motorcycle and you will mistake it for an American design. It looks imposing in matte black color along with that blackened theme which covers the alloys, fork gaiters, handlebar and most part of the engine. That gap between the tank and seat is something unique and we have probably seen it for the first time. The cruiser comes with a wide handlebar and a seat height of just 710 mm.
The instrument cluster is basic with digital readouts for speed and few other bits; along with an analogue tachometer and some basic signal lights. The motorcycle weighs 172 kilos.
The GV300S has been announced for Europe at a price of 4999 Euros which roughly equates to 4.10 Lakh in INR.

Hyosung is present in India under the Kinetic group now but the problem is that we have moved to very stringent Bharat Stage 6 norms and till mass international markets do not get updated to similar norms, most of these motorcycles won’t make it to India.
