Husqvarna is making an official entry in India and an announcement will be made in a few minutes at the India Bike Week. But before that happens, the surprise has leaked!
Update – Bajaj Launches Swedish Husqvarna in India With Surprise 250s
The Swedish brand will enter with Svartpilen and Vitpilen but instead of the expected 401s, what we see here is a 250! It appears that Husqvarna may begin its innings here with the quarter liter versions of its pilens.
The Husqvarna 250 displayed on this page will obviously be based on the KTM 250 Duke. It carries over the same Trellis Frame and that quarter liter motor is expected to churn similar power and torque figures of 30 PS and 24 Nm.

They follow a completely different design philosophy which is minimalistic in styling and will target people who do not like the extra sharp features of KTMs. The front is shod with upside down forks and we can also notice the India-specific saree guard as well as an ugly rear grab rail.

The ‘250’ sticker at the rear panel gives away the displacement of the motorcycle and the seat also features contrast yellow coloured stitches to lend it sportiness. Unlike the spoke wheels of the 401s, the 250s are shod with alloy wheels and slightly knobby 17 inch tyres. This also reveals why we saw MRF tyres (and not the premium Metzelers) on one of the test mules few months back.
