Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. has announced that it has accomplished a milestone by completing 5 crore cumulative
two-wheeler domestic sales in India since the start of its operations back in 2001.
HMSI debuted in India with its first two-wheeler – the Activa in 2001 and over the years, the Activa brand still continues to rule the streets and the scooter market with the same command as it did two decades ago.
Apart from that, in the two-wheeler line up, Honda sells a lot of products in various segments let it be commuter, entry-level sports, streetfighter naked, or even superbikes.
Honda’s Total Sales in India – Journey
Honda gained its first 1 crore customers in the first decade. Subsequently, the Jap achieved the 2-crore sales milestone in just 3 years.
While it took 16 years for company to find the first 2.5 crore customers, the next 2.5 crore customers joined the brand in just 5 years – that has allowed the Honda to celebrate its new milestone.
