When it comes to scooters, Honda is a leading name in India. While its Activa is the largest selling scooter in the country, Dio is the most exported brand for the Jap. And Honda continues to leverage them to maintain a lead in the scooter domain.
Just ahead of the festive season, the brand now plans to introduce new variants of the Activa 6G and Dio for Indian consumers. This has been revealed from a type approval document that mentions two upcoming models of Honda Activa and four models of Honda Dio.
The upcoming range of Activa scooters goes by the names Activa 6G and Activa 6G LED. Currently, the DLX variant of Honda Activa does get LED lighting so it will be interesting to see what extra features will the brand add to the upcoming scooter models.

Coming to Honda Dio the four upcoming models go by the names Dio, Dio with Digital Speedometer, Dio with 3D Emblem, and Dio with both digital speedometer and 3D emblem.
The models with Digital Speedometer and 3D emblem will be equipped with composite cast wheels.
Although the model is being refreshed the power figure and delivery won’t see any change. Activa will continue to churn out 7.79 PS and 8.79 Nm of torque from the 109.51 cc single-cylinder engine. With the same motor, the Honda Dio offers a power output of 7.76 PS and a torque of 9 Nm.

As it happens with any brand, we can expect the upcoming Honda Activa and Dio models to be priced a little higher than the current models.
