Honda’s New Light Weight Super Sport Motorcycle Signals CBR250RR: Pic Released

Honda is set to go all guns blazing at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show with some truckloads of new product showcases. Among them, this motorcycle, which they call as ‘Light Weight Super Sport‘ is the most interesting. Regarding this concept motorcycle, Honda says….

Designed with the key phrase “strong presence,” this next-generation super sport concept model and features a look possessing a sense of speed that comes from its long nose and low crouching position. The combination of a plane architecture, which indicates the sense of hardness and solidity, and sharp edges emphasize the aggressive look of this model. Moreover, the exterior featuring matte-black-based low-contrast graphics expresses beauty and the remarkable form.

Nowhere have they confirmed the cubic capacity of the motorcycle or what will it spawn eventually. But this may end up being the CBR250RR in its production form, a motorcycle which has been rumored for the last few months.

The current smallest supersport CBR600RR in the Honda family sports dual disc brakes upfront and this motorcycle, even in its concept form, is equipped with a single petal disc brake. Along with this, the relatively thinner tyres almost confirm that this will be a smaller capacity motorcycle.

The company acknowledges that this is a concept model for a next generation super sport model. The motorcycle has been designed with only one thing in mind, how to make onlookers drool in awe with its ‘strong presence’. The long nose and the low crouching pattern seen in the design gives it a sense of speed, agility and power!

Honda did have a 250 cc in-line four cylinder motorcycle by the same name in the market during the late 80s and 90s. The bike then used to produce 40 PS of power and used to rev all the way up to 19,000 rpm!
