Honda India Foundation, which is the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) company of all the Honda companies present in India, has announced support during this second wave of COVID-19 which is causing havoc across the nation.

Honda has pledged an amount of Rs 6.5 crores which will be utilized for various relief efforts. The company will work with five state governments – Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana and Karnataka. The company is setting up a 100 bed COVID Care isolation facility at its Manesar based warehouse. Another 50-100 bed facility is under works at Government Girl School in Tapukara, Rajasthan. Few other such temporary centers are also planned at other places.

Additionally, the company is setting up Oxygen Production Plants in Manesar (Haryana), Gautam Buddha Nagar (Uttar Pradesh), Alwar (Rajasthan) and Kolar (Karnataka). Alongside, distribution of PPE kits, Masks, Sanitizers, Pulse Oximeters, Oxygen Concentrators and other medical aid is also undertaken. Honda is also distributing food packets to the front line workers.
