Honda CB350 Coming Near YOU; ~24 New BIGWING Dealers Opening This Year

Honda sells its motorcycles and scooters in India through two channels – the commuter motorcycles are retailed through conventional dealerships which are present across the country whereas its CKD/CBU motorcycles go to the premium BIGWING chain of showrooms.

While the BigWing was limited to big motorcycles that are imported either as completely knocked down units (CKDs) or as completely built units (CBUs) till now, the introduction of the locally produced H’Ness CB350 has meant that the company has realigned its criteria. BigWing will now sell all or most of the motorcycles that Honda will define as ‘premium‘.

According to the official website, Honda has around 26 BigWing dealers in the country at present. But since the company has introduced the most affordable motorcycle in its premium motorcycle range – the CB350, the demand is bound to rise. In fact, Y.S. Guleria, Director of Marketing & Sales in the company has already said that there is another ‘beautiful’ motorcycle lined up for launch (more details).

To ensure these relatively affordable and exciting motorcycles reach a wider audience, Honda has plans to expand its BigWing dealership showrooms to 50 by the end of this year. This may include some tier 1 and smaller tier 2 cities which are not a part of the chain yet.
