SPIED: Xpulse Spotted Testing Again; Is It The Bigger 210 Variant?

A purported Xpulse 210 pic has surfaced on the internet suggesting that Hero is working on further improving the already popular ADV for its fans…

Hero is on its toes and really wants to make a mark in the premium segment. It has introduced a lot of motorcycle models but unfortunately, it has not been able to keep the traction up.

It is the Xpulse that seems to have worked for the brand somewhat and that is the direction in which the maker is focusing more. The Xpulse 200 started its innings with the existing 200cc motor in 2 valve guise – with both carburetor as well as fuel injector.

Later on, the carburetted Xpulse, which was the most affordable (and VFM) was discontinued as emission norms tightened. After that Hero updated it with slight little more power and 4 valves and there have been continuous improvements in the model ever since.

And Hero hasn’t stopped there. The Xpulse has continued testing and this time it appears it is getting the bigger and more powerful 210cc motor from the new Karizma. One such mule has, yet again, been spotted testing, along with the Mavrick 440.

The current Xpulse is already a very capable motorcycle, however, it feels underpowered on highways…

This is likely to be the Xpulse 210 which will get more firepower with around 25 PS and 20-21 Nm. It will also get liquid cooling and the dual overhead camshafts to spice up things. This will definitely make the Xpulse a more desirable motorcycle as there is no doubt in its capabilities but it is just the highway behavior that is sluggish.

EXCLUSIVE: Hero 2.5R Xtunt Patented in India; Future Xtreme 210R?

Obviously, this will push the prices of the ADV up. By how much can bot be predicted at this point of time but I get a feeling that it may cost just a wee bit lesser than the Karizma 210. A lot would depend on how kitted Hero wants to project the motorcycle.

When will it come is also not known but considering the fact that this mule looks in fairly good shape, we may see its debut sometime later this year.
