Speed 400 Rival Hero Mavrick 440 Launch Date Revealed; New Details

Mavrick 440 launch date has just been announced and it falls within this month. The motorcycle has also been spotted revealing new details…

Hero MotoCorp is bracing up for one of the most important launches of the year. It will be the company’s biggest ever motorcycle and it may not bring a lot of volumes for the country’s largest maker, but it will be a key brand builder and will help it achieve some ground in the premium segment – an area where it has been struggling, so far.

Two things have been confirmed in a day – the name as well as the launch date.

Name – After teasing various alphabets, through its social media, Hero MotoCorp has finally put up the final name – Mavrick. For its biggest product, Hero isn’t using any of the existing names and have instead carved out an altogether new name.

Launch Date – Aside the name, Hero has also put up a banner on its social channels that reads….

So, this – 23rd January 2024 – will be the official unveiling/launch date of the Mavrick.

That is not all, fresh set of spy pics have emerged on the internet that reveal some new bits about the upcoming product. Though the product is all camouflaged, but there are still signs of the Xtreme’s styling. The Mavrick will have a humped tank with a flowing tail – that gives it a mix of roadster-streetfighter styling – very unlike the Harley’s X440 – the motorcycle on which it is based.

Apart from a completely new bodywork, the Mavrick also carries different, flashier twin-spoke pattern alloys as well as a more conventional, sportier exhaust can than the X440. The seating posture appears upright and the motorcycle continues with dual shock absorbers at the rear and gets conventional telescopics at the front.

The Mavrick, in all probability, will continue with the same 440cc motor and outputs are also expected to be similar to the Harley’s. However, for its new application, the tuning may be different and could be slightly on the sportier side.

So, in a matter of a couple of weeks, we may see a big…like real big story from an Indian motorcycle maker. Stay tuned for more updates..
