Hero Sales October 2020

This is the highest number of 2-wheelers Hero ever sold in one month. These figures are whopping 35 percent higher than the last October wherein the maker registered total sales of 5,99,248 units – a gain of 2,07,600 two-wheelers.
Out of this consolidated number, it dispatched 7,91,137 of its two-wheelers in the domestic market (against 5,86,988 units in October 2019) and the rest 15,711 units were exports (versus 12,260 exports in last October).
Breaking total sales – Hero gained a significant market share in motorcycles as it sold 7,32,498 units in the last months (versus 5,52,672 motorcycles in October 2019). The good news for the brand is that it also managed to see a hike in scooter’s numbers (74,350 vs 46,576 units) which has been its Achilles Heel so far!

Hero attributes this growth to positive customer sentiments, government’s policy support along with resumption of its supply chain and logistics that have helped operations. It also iterates that its dealerships will now have adequate inventories to cater to the heavy festive demand.
