So, Hero Electric have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Rajasthan government according to which the company will be setting up their latest EV manufacturing plant in the Salarpur region in the state of Rajasthan.
The company has shared that the new Rajasthan EV plan will have the capacity of producing 2 Million (20 Lakh) units annually. Hero Electric aims to begin production from this plant by the end of 2023.
Hero Electric EV Manufacturing Plant in Rajasthan – Further Details
Hero Electric will be establishing their latest EV manufacturing plant in the Salarpur Industrial Region of Rajasthan. The company have shared that they will be investing upwards of Rs. 1,200 Crore in this new facility, which will be built upon 170 acres of land.
Hero electric further shared that their new EV plant in Rajasthan will handle the production of all existing and upcoming EV models. This manufacturing plant will boast the latest technology when it comes to equipment and robotics utilised in two-wheeler manufacturing, and will also be using Solar as a renewable source of energy to run the plant.
Hero Electric is aiming to make the new manufacturing plant completely functional by end of 2023. This new facility will be able to produce nearly 2 Million (20 Lakh) EVs per year.
Back in January, Hero Electric partnered with Mahindra to utilise the latter’s Pithampura manufacturing plant, out of which Hero Electric have already rolled out the 1st batch of electric scooters in July 2022.
To better facilitate their customers, Hero Electric have partnered with ReadyAssist to offer better aftersales service & support. This new partnership will also offer Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) to their B2B customers. Additionally, they have joined hands with Grip which will facilitate Lease financing options for their prospective customers.
