India’s largest manufacturer of electric two wheelers – Hero Electric, has a reason to celebrate! The company’s popular scooter – the Optima HX has recently won the 2020 EV Two-Wheeler of the Year award at the second edition of the HiTech Awards. It is to be noted that the scooter had won the EV scooter of the year during the inaugural edition of HiTech Awards.

Hero Electric claims that the scooter model has won the award for providing efficient and sustainable mobility solutions to the masses. This year, the award ceremony was held virtually, and it aims “to acknowledge all the technology and automobile companies who have made their mark in the industry through technology, innovation, etc.”

The scooter – Optima HX is a city-speed version of Optima electric scooters. The company claims that the scooter is ideal for city use and for consumers who look for range, performance, reliability, and comfort in a scooter.

Hero Electric claims that the scooter has a range of up to 82 km on a single charge. It also comes with quick-charge feature, that substantially reduces the charging time of the scooter’s battery. It has a top speed of 42 km/h.
