Harley X440 deliveries will commence from October onwards with production commencing from a month earlier…
Hero MotoCorp, that is manufacturing and selling the Harley Davidson X440 in India, has announced that it has received an overwhelming response for the motorcycle. Though there are no numbers given but Niranjan Gupta, CEO of Hero says that the booking volumes have surpassed their expectations.
To ensure proper customer support and smooth deliveries, Hero has planned to halt the bookings of the motorcycle on 3rd August 2023, for a short period of time. For these first bookers, Hero has planned to offer test rides starting from 1st September 2023, across the nation.
Parallely, Hero will start production of the roadster in the same month at its Garden Factory in Neemrana, Rajasthan. Dispatches are also expected to commence from the later part of the same month and deliveries will start from October onwards, as earlier announced by Hero.
Once Hero settles down with this process, it will re-open bookings for the second batch of customers, however, do note that it has specified that the timeline for the second booking window as well as the price will be announced later. Yes, this means that the initial introductory price of the X440, that ranges from Rs 2.29 Lakh to Rs 2.69 Lakh as of today, may increase.
So, if you want to certainly have the motorcycle at its current prices, you still have time to book it till 3rd August at the official channel, at a pre-payment of Rs 5000, after which nobody knows if Hero will retain the tags or if it will increase increase them.
If you are impressed by the overall concept – of having a very affordable single cylinder Harley Davidson, with a lot of bottom-end torque, but for some reason do not like the roadster, the company has probably already started work on the next motorcycle on this platform which could be called as Nightster 440 or Mavrick 440.
