Harley X440 bookings number has been revealed by the company and there is a surprisingly higher number for the top trim..
So, it is nice little battle out there between Triumph and Harley (and Bajaj vs Hero in a way) out there. Hero announced 2.29 Lac as the entry price of the Harley X440, Triumph one-upped with an even more aggressive price – couple of days later. Triumph announced 10K bookings within a few days of launch, Hero follows with an even bigger number!
Through a press note, Hero has announced that it has received more than 25,000 bookings of the Harley Davidson X440 (25,597 to be precise) within one month of bookings commencement. Bookings window was closed on 3rd August. It further states that more than 65 percent (which corresponds to roughly 16,600 units) are for the top of the line S trim – which should be encouraging for the brand. Niranjan Gupta, CEO of Hero MotoCorp expressed his pleasure at this occasion and promised more launches in this premium space soon as the company is very eager to prove its mettle here. For now we know that Hero is working on its own version on this 400 platform and Harley’s upcoming 440 motorcycles could be called as Nightster and/or Mavrick.
Second booking window of the Harley X440 will open sometime later at increased prices that we have listed in this story. Test rides will commence from September onwards which is when the production of the roadster will also start at the Neemrana factory. Deliveries, as promised, will commence from October onwards across the country.
