Harley Davdison has introduced its ‘S’ or Special model of the existing Low Rider in India. The Low Rider S comes with a one-inch diameter motocross style handlebar on 4-inch high risers. Harley says, this provides the motorcycle an aggressive and active posture.
It also gets a color-matched mini fairing and the LED tail lamp has smoked finish. The engine, tank console and other parts follow the blacked out theme. The special Low Rider rides on 19 inch front tyre and 16 inch rear tyre – which roll on Michelin Scorcher 31 tyres.
The Low Rider S is equipped with a Milwaukee-Eight 1868 cc, V-twin engine which produces 93 PS of peak power at 5020 rpm and 155 Nm of max torque at just 3000 rpm. There is a dual counter-balancer system to reduce engine vibrations. The motor has four valve cylinder heads and dual spark plugs.

The Low Rider S, a model from the company’s Softail family is offered in two colors – Vivid Black and Barracuda Silver. The price of the entry model – Vivid Black in this case is Rs 14.69 Lakh whereas Silver’s cost has not been revealed. Internationally, it commands a slight premium over black.

The Low Rider S is shod with dual 300 mm front brakes and 43 mm Upside down front forks. It has a capacity to hold 18.9 liters of fuel and a dry weight of 295 kilos.
