New Hooligan in Town: Harley Sportster S Launched at £13,999

Harley Sportster S is the second all new motorcycle model launched by the American after Pan America. It looks rowdy and extremely interesting…

As scheduled, Harley-Davidson has pulled the curtains off its new Sportster S. The new-age Sportster S is clearly a derivative of the high-performance Custom model Harley showcased back in 2018.

It is powered by a 1252 cc water-cooled, V-twin engine that is called as Revolution Max 1250T in Harley’s speak. This is the same motor that you get on the another recent entrant Pan America 1250. The American bike maker claims that this new engine will reduce weight and provide a better riding experience.

Owing to it different usability, the Sporster churns lesser power than the Pan America. It produces 121 hp at 7500 RPM and 124 Nm of torque at 6000 RPM.

The new age Sporster S has been priced at £13,999 which equals 14.45 Lac in INR.

The Sportster moniker has been there for a few decades but with an air-cooled engine. Only recently due to stringent emission norms in Europe Harley had to bring out a better alternative. Harley will be hoping to hop back to its glory days with the new Sporster.

The catchy aspect of the Sportster S’ design is the massive looking elevated flat dual-barrel exhaust. When Harley was initially teasing the Sportster S, the pics showcased a glimpse of the exhaust barrel and the V-twin engine.
