Italian FB Mondial India Launch was confirmed last year but it has probably got delayed.
A very mysterious sighting of an HPS scrambler in Pune near ARAI last year got everybody hooked onto the developments. By the way, we are talking about FB Mondial which is an Italian brand by origin and was massive in the 60s and 70s and has won many world racing championships.
Nonetheless, last year we connected with FB Mondial to understand if they really plan to venture into India and the basis of the spotting of their HPS motorcycle here; To which they responded an emphatic YES! Here is a quick snippet of the very brief conversation..
BA – Hello guys, One of your HPS motorcycle was snapped in India. Any plans of Indian venture?

‘We are doing it’ sealed the deal but it was not known who will they partner with for our market. A latest report at Autocar clears the air – it will be Kinetic Motoroyale which is bringing the Italian brand to India.
Moreover, they will debut with the interesting HPS 300 in India which is a 250cc cafe racer cum scrambler and produces 25 bhp of peak power and 22 Nm of max torque and is coupled with a 6-speed gearbox.

FB Mondial was recently resurrected and their new lineup includes Hipster range – HPS125 and HPS300 and small capacity SMX Motard and SMX Enduro. The 125cc HPS produces 13.6 PS of peak power and 10.5 Nm of maximum torque.
Further, the report says the motorcycles will be locally assembled by Kinetic at their Ahmednagar plant but prices are expected to be around Rs 3 Lakh. Launch, they say, is in September ie next month!
