Ducati Wins Daytona 200

Ducati, the ever successful Italian bike maker, has ended long drought by winning Daytona 200. The bike manufacturer has been successful in winning many big races from MotoGP to World Superbike Series but it had never won the legendary Daytona 200, thus there was a sense of excitement in the company after winning Daytona 200 contest.

On Saturday Ducati entered the Daytona 200 racing event with intentions to nail down their competitors and it has been successful in doing that. Rider Jason DiSalvo drove Ducati 848 EVO to the first place in the race making a sort of a history for the Italian company because the bike maker has never won this event in the past. According to industry experts, this win is a morale booster for Ducati and its market especially in the U.S. Although Ducati has several major championship titles under its belt, Daytona 200 championship will certainly bring in more consumers to the bike maker. Industry sources say that, people who have not considered Ducati will now re-think.

Ducati is on the spree to continuously woo the U.S markets towards their brand either with the help of high powered bikes or custom tailored made bikes to compete with Harley Davidson and other competitors. Ducati even entered the Pikes Peak hill climb race and won, thus giving their Multistrada (bike) much required publicity and now this Daytona 200 will bring in more consumers for 848 EVO. The 848EVO’s next race weekend is May 13-15 at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, Calif. At last we wish Ducati all the success for their coming events and hope that they will continue winning and rolling out marvels time and again.
