Dominar 250 spy pics have surfaced which reveal the motorcycle in total. There are two colours pictured and one of them is new for an India-spec Dominar!
In order to revive the sales of the brand Dominar, Bajaj seems to have an ace up its sleeve. After trying to improve the first motorcycle under this sub brand – the Dominar 400 – Bajaj appears to have settled with the setup and up next is its new iteration – the Dominar 250.
Confirmation of the motorcycle came on 28th February when Bajaj shot invites of its media ride wherein it specified the exact motorcycle as well. And now, few days ahead of the rides, we have the complete motorcycle in front of us – allegedly caught at some dealership yard.
At first you will immediately notice the new red colour which the 400 hasn’t received yet in India. The other colour in these pics is the matte black shade that we have already seen. It looks like Bajaj will make the Dominar 250 available in two shades only, like it is the case with the 400 as well.
Next up is the thinner swingarm and a reflector on the rear mudguard. The motorcycle may be sporting a smaller 300mm front disc but it can not be ascertained through these pics (400 gets a 320 mm rotor). The alloy wheels are (very) slightly different as well.
The good news for all you people considering this motorcycle is that Bajaj has carried over the upside down front forks from the 400 and almost all other body panels also appear to be very similar.
Bajaj Now Selling Higher Number of Motorcycles Out of India
The Dominar 250 will be powered by Bajaj’s version of the 250cc engine of the 250 Duke. We believe it will be slightly detuned to produce 27-28 PS of peak power and 22-24 Nm of max torque. As for its price tag, we are estimating it to be around the 1.60 Lakh mark, which will still be significantly lesser than the 400.
