Ignitron Motocorp, a homegrown startup specializing in building customized vehicles and sound engineering, has announced that they are stepping into Electric motorbike segment with as many as three new motorcycles under the ‘Cyborg’ name. The company says that Cyborg will offer electric motorcycles in the Cruiser segment, Commuter segment and in the Sports segment.

Ignitron Motocorp is an indigenous start-up launched by Mr. Raghav Kalra and aims to specialize in manufacturing electric motorbikes in India with the Cyborg brand name.

They say that Cyborg will be a true fusion between man and machine, and claims that it will be a range of premium electric motorbikes which will offer an all-new motorcycling experience to new riders and a thrilling experience for accomplished motorcyclists.

Their first and flagship product – Yoda – is a Cruiser model which will cater to the niche segment of consumers. Their first electric motorbike is aimed at keeping the aspirations of Indian consumers in mind while being tested for the toughest and most extreme terrain and climatic conditions in the country.

Ignitron claims that Yoda is India’s first ‘Made in India’ electric cruiser motorbike with a swappable battery. It will be targeted at auto enthusiasts who want to enjoy the thrill of riding and feel the adrenaline of riding an electric motorbike to its fullest potential.

The company says that manufacturing and assembly of the electric motorbikes have already begun at the company’s plant in Manesar, Gurgaon. In the initial phase, the company has a capacity to produce 40,000 units in the financial year 2022-23. This means that we should be seeing the launch in the coming months. Yoda will then become the second cruiser after Komaki Ranger that is claimed to come with India’s biggest battery and high range. Here are the details of Ranger.

Ignitron further adds that their focus is to make the safest motorbikes in India and will continually explore new ways to improve battery technology and manufacturing processes.
