Bajaj Chetak Nagpur bookings have commenced after registrations went live few days back.
Bajaj Auto’s next stop for its electric scooter Chetak is the Nagpur city of Maharashtra state. It starts at Rs 1,42,998 ex-showroom in the city.
Customers who have Chetak on their wishlist can book online on the official website of Chetak at a pre-payment of Rs 2000. Bajaj believes that, like Pune and Bangalore, Nagpur will also be sold out within hours.
Back in 2020 Chetak was launched at INR 1 Lac for the Urbane model and INR 1.15 Lac for the Premium model. Earlier this year Bajaj hiked the price of Chetak by a hefty sum of INR 27,000.
Again shortly one more price revision occurred that added a further increment in the price of the urbane variant by INR 27,620 and the premium model by INR 24,620. This makes Chetak electric scooter one of the most expensive two-wheeler EV in India.
After Nagpur, Bajaj Auto has plans to introduce the Chetak electric in Chennai and Hyderabad.

This indicates that Bajaj has identified cities which have relatively higher acceptance ratio of electric vehicles and more cities will be added to the list soon.
Chetak electric scooter is present in Bengaluru and Pune and will also go to Hyderabad and Chennai soon.

Chetak gets power from a 3 kW electric motor working in tandem with a Li-ion battery setup while offering a peak torque of 16Nm.
It is offered with two riding modes – Eco and Sport. While on Eco with full charge Chetalk can cover 95km, on Sport mode, range will drop slightly allowing the scooter to cover up to 85km.

Chetak owners can get up to 3-year and 50,000 km warranty on the battery. The scooter takes around 5 hours to charge completely. It also supports fast charging.
Bajaj Chetak offers all LED lighting setup, IP-67 rating, alloy wheels, and 6 color schemes. Also, the electric two-wheeler comes with a fully digital instrument cluster along with Bluetooth connectivity support.
