CBR150R relaunch in India possible now – with the market expanding to new levels? Meanwhile an update has been introduced in the Thai market…
Honda has launched a new updated CBR150R in Thailand. This time the new model comes with a full LED lighting setup, improved power, supports Assist and Slipper clutch, USD forks, LED Lighting, and has new color options.
The 150cc sports bike is priced at 92,900 Thai Baht which approximates to INR 2.05 Lac in INR.
The 2022 Honda CBR 150R gets styling inspiration from its bigger cousin the Honda CBR1000R Fireblade and it also gets a similar red and blue color finish with white streaks on the frame. Apart from that, the CBR150R is available in Matte Black and Matte Grey, and Millennium Red colors.
Headlights, flash, and turn indicators are now available in LED on this bike. The turn indicator has been merged into the DRLs.
The 2022 CBR 150R is powered by a liquid-cooled 149.16 cc single cylinder 4 valve engine that is paired with a 6-speed transmission. The motor delivers 17.1 hp of maximum power at 9,000 RPM and 14.5 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 RPM.

The 150cc baby CBR gets 37 mm Showa USD front forks along with Monoshock suspension at the rear from Pro-Link. It gets 17″ light aluminum alloy wheels of sizes – 100/80-17 front and 130/70-17 rear.
The bike comes in two variants one with CBS and the other one with dual channel ABS.

Another pointer is that the sportiest 150 – the R15 now costs almost close to Rs 1.80 Lac and that means there is ample amount of room for Honda to consider bringing the baby CBR here. Are the company guys listening…?
