BMW Motorrad is going to launch the ’40 years’ GS Edition models for both of its 1250cc adventure tourers GS and GS Adventure in India. It has been teasing about the motorcycles on its social media handles.
The special edition models signify the German automaker’s 40-year completion of the GS series of motorcycles. Being the special variants of BMW R1250 GS and GSA, the upcoming models sport a very interesting yellow and black color combination.

They have a yellowish shade for visor, deep yellow seats, and golden tinted spoke wheels. Looking at the beauty of these models, we begin to wonder why not many people have played around with the black and yellow combination earlier!
These upcoming BMWs will cost a few lakhs more than the regular models. There will be no changes to the mechanicals of the bikes. Only to mark the anniversary of 40 years, the special color scheme will be used.
The BMW GS and GSA both churn out 136 PS of power and 143 Nm of torque.

Among other features, the special edition BMW GS and GSA will come equipped with adaptive headlights and Hill Assist Pro as auxiliary features. The stock features will include ABS, TFT instrumentation, riding modes, traction control, etc. Recently, BMW Motorrad also launched an anniversary edition for its 300cc entry-level adventure bike the G310GS.
