BMW Motorrad has confirmed its plans on the idea of connected motorcycles for a safer ride in the future. To delve this point deeper, the German bike maker at Los Angeles has showcased the BMW Motorrad Vision Next 100. Calling for ultimate riding experience, this self-balancing product is being touted by them as the future of motorcycles.
It includes a flexi-frame for improving handling prowess, emission-free electric motor, tyres which adapt to the terrain and a self-levelling system. Now one look at all these features will tell you that this concept is one of those which is unlikely to enter production. But the idea of an uncrashable motorcycle one which one does not need to wear a helmet or any protective gear is certainly very intriguing.

- The engine changes shape! Yes, when the bike is resting, the power unit is compact, extending outwards only when the bike sets off, to enhance aerodynamics and protect the rider from the elements.

While the diagonal zipper across the chest is reminiscent of traditional motorcycle clothing, the flexible, banded structure of the suit and shoes is inspired by the muscle areas of the human body and provides body support and relief whenever needed. At higher speeds, the neck section inflates to provide extra support for the upper vertebrae and improve overall comfort. Variable openings offer additional ventilation.
Usually, a lot of this might sound impossible today. We have to understand that unlike most concepts, which are developed keeping 5-7 years as buffer. The BMW Motorrad Vision Next 100 has been designed and created with decades of possible scientific advancements in mind.
