Electric Two-Wheeler Sales Oct 2026: TVS, Bajaj, Ather, Vida, Ola

The electric two-wheeler industry recorded its highest-ever monthly sales in Oct 2026 as retail volumes surpassed 2.24 lakh units

The electric two-wheeler sales reached an all-time high of 2.24 lakh units in October 2026 from 1.51 lakh units during the same month last year. The e2w indsutry grew by 48.5 percent on a YoY basis. In fact, the MoM (month-on-month) sales also surged by 8 percent as 2.07 lakh units were retailed in September 2026. The share of pure electric models in the overall two-wheeler sales came down at 9.7 percent from 11.6 percent in Sep 2026. However, it posted a strong growth if we compare it with October 2025 (4.7 percent).

Commenting on the Oct’26 Electric Vehicle retail data, FADA President Mr. Sai Giridhar said: “Tellingly, demand ran ahead of supply this month: with petrol and diesel prices continuing to remain elevated, electric vehicle driving ranges now materially improved and EV prices increasingly at par with comparable petrol and diesel models, buyer pull strengthened to the point where availability — not demand — became the binding constraint. This steady, broad-based shift to cleaner mobility — holding firm even in a base-distorted month — is among the most encouraging structural signals in Indian auto retail today.”

TVS Motor Company continued to lead the segment with total sales of 60,490 units in Oct 2026 with a YoY growth of nearly 94.7 percent. The brand had retailed 54,037 units during the same month last year. It was closely followed by Bajaj Auto with sales of 49,126 units last month with a YoY growth of 51.3 percent as 32,462 units were retailed in October 2025.
