BMW Motorrad has gone for a complete makeover of its strategy related to the smallest G310s in India. The motorcycles, updated for the year, have received complete repositioning in the market. We will talk about the roadster in this story.
The 2021 G310 R has been updated with Bharat Stage 6 compliance. The updated 313cc, water cooled, single cylinder engine, however continues to produce the same 34 bhp of peak power at 9500 rpm and 28 Nm of max torque at 7500 rpm. In fact, even the unladen weight of 158.6 kg has remained unchanged.
Apart from the mandatory emission upgrade, BMW has also thrown in some new features. Among the key traits the roadster comes with are full LED headlamps, LED side blinkers, LED brake lights, slipper clutch and Ride by Wire.
The new version also gets four step adjustable clutch lever and handbrake lever for convenience – specially for bikers with smaller hands.

The official price of the older BS4 model was Rs 2.99 Lakh which means the motorcycle has seen a massive price slash of Rs 54,000 which corresponds to 18 percent! In other words, all the older owners paid ‘this’ much just for the brand value of BMW.

With this, the G310R will directly rival the 390 Duke by undercutting it in terms of price. It will be available in three colors – Cosmic Black, Polar White and ‘Style Sport’ in Limestone Metallic. This ‘Style Sport’ shade will cost Rs 10,000 more than the other two shades.

The G310R comes with a standard warranty of three years and unlimited kilometers. Users also have an option to extend it further. In addition, BMW has introduced attractive finance schemes including an EMI plan of just Rs 4500.
