DSK Benelli, in an official communication, has announced that the company will be displaying 8 Italian motorcycles at the upcoming India Bike Week which will be organised in Goa on February 20 and 21, 2015. These would include launch models which were showcased back in October – the street nakeds TNT 302, TNT 600i, TNT 899 and the TNR 1130 R and a semi-fared TNT 600GT.
Apart from these 5 the company is also going to showcase three new models yet to be shown in India. They also declare that these 3 new bikes will be launched in the Indian market later this year. The launch date of the already unveiled 5 motorcycles will also be announced at IBW.
There has been no official or unofficial word on what these three new products will be. There have been words about DSK possibly launching a quarter litre, twin cylinder cruiser Keeway Blackster made by a Chinese manufacturer Keeway, owned by the Qianjiang Group, the same business conglomerate which owns Benelli. This may be one of the bikes which the company may introduce (possibly under the Benelli badging.)
Another might be the new quarter litre BN 251 which was unveiled back at the EICMA last year. The bike produces 24.5 bhp of maximum power which makes it an ideal product for the Indian two-wheeler market which is slowly opening up to bigger engined motorcycles.
