DSK to Launch 250cc 2-Cyl Keeway Blackster Cruiser in India by Mid 2015

Way back in May 2014, BikeAdvice first shared with our readers DSK’s collaboration plans with Benelli and its aspirations of becoming a distributor of multiple international motorcycle brands here in India. They currently sell Hyosung branded motorcycles and have inked up a new partnership with Italian Benelli.

Now, interestingly, the word on the street is that next they are planning to launch Keeway’s motorcycle in India. For those of you who don’t know, Keeway is a Chinese manufacturer owned by the Qianjiang Group, the same business house which owns Benelli.

As per a report in Autocar Professional, the company will be launching two more products, one of which will be the Blackster cruiser (pictured above) which gets a twin cylinder, air cooled 248.9 cc engine. The company also has plans to launch a single cylinder 250cc engined motorcycle and it is a possibility that this hints at TNT 250. This new motorcycle though, can be expected only in June-July 2015 or possibly even later. Both these two products have engineering inputs from the Benelli group.

The Keeway brand also sells scooters, electric vehicles and ATVs with engine displacements in  the range of 50cc to 600cc across 80 countries around the world. Benelli, when it showcased its products in India, confirmed five products from their international line-up, TNT302 (a twin cylinder 300cc), TNT600i and TNT600GT (with an in-line four pot 600cc engine), TNT899 (with an in-line three pot 899cc mill) and TNT1130R (with an in-line three-cylinder, 1131cc motorcycle). These five products are expected to be here very soon, possibly by February 2015.
