Bajaj-Triumph motorcycle launch is now expected by the end of this year. Fresh spyshots from Pune, with certain bits, also hint that the bikes are getting ready…
Bajaj forged an alliance with Triumph around 2016-17 period. The plan was to offer mid-capacity motorcycles to India and the world. The target was to be in the market by now, however, things have definitely got delayed to a fair extent.
Bajaj has blamed COVID as the issue but there seems to be things changing with the first motorcycles as well. But the good news is that the first Triumph-Bajaj motorcycle(s) will be out in the coming nine odd months.
This was revealed by Stefan Pierer in an interview where he also teased that Bajaj will make twin cylinder Duke in India. You can check that story here. The head of KTM said that the partners did some more research and have changed the styling or some other bits. This has caused a delay in the introduction but finally the motorcycle will, likely, be out by the end of this year.
By the spyshots that have emerged so far, it is understood that the first Triumphs under this partnership will be a roadster and a scrambler – both with neo-retro styling. As can then be clearly said, the duo intends to target the enviable market share of Royal Enfield.
The roadster model was recently spied in India and the good news is that the test mule carried some bits that are a part of Indian regulation, like the saree guard etc. This hints at the favorable point of these models getting ready for homologation in India – a step generally before launch.

What you must remember is that Rajiv Bajaj announced a tag of under Rs 2 Lakh for the first Triumph model. Even if we consider that there has been a considerable amount of time that has gone by after this promise the introductory tag is expected to be aggressive. Concrete engine specs, size and other details are still elusive.
