Bajaj will be upping its marketing push ahead of Pulsar 250 launch date. It will be the biggest makeover to the Pulsar brand ever…
It is well known that Bajaj is preparing its new-generation Pulsar range and test mules are already on the roads for final level validations and testing.
Now, for the first time, Rajiv Bajaj – Managing Director of Bajaj Auto, has spilled the some beans on this. In an interview to CNBC, he confirmed three things –
- New-generation Pulsars are under works.
- The company is making a ‘biggest Pulsar’. Currently, Pulsar 220 is the largest capacity model and the new-gen will have a model bigger than this, for sure. There are all the chances of it being the Pulsar 250.
- The platform will spawn smaller Pulsars in the coming months.
Pulsar 250 Launch Date
But the biggest revelation comes in the form of the launch timeframe. Rajiv says that the biggest Pulsar will be launched on the 20th Anniversary of the Pulsar brand. That means we are looking at a timeframe of November 2021.
Here is the quote in his own words…
On the 20th anniversary of the Pulsar, in November of this year, we are poised to launch the all-new Pulsar platform, which will of course, start with the biggest Pulsar we have ever made. I won’t say exactly how big and then of course, that platform will, over the next 12 months work its way down all the way to the smallest Pulsars that we make. So, so, that is our biggest product move in the near future.
Pulsar 250 will be the boldest step for Bajaj for the Pulsar brand and since the company has internally decided to keep it confined, it has broadened its base. The Pulsar now starts at 125cc and will top at 250cc – spawning multiple variants in between.
