Bajaj CT & Platina BS6 Launched: CT100 is India’s Cheapest BS6 Bike

The new CT100 has become cheapest BS6 bike in India, and it has been followed by Platina. With their launches, Bajaj ventures into the BS6 era…

Bajaj has officially entered the Bharat Stage 6 era with its 2020 CT and Platina which are now equipped with Electronic injection system instead of the conventional carburettor. Bajaj is calling this tech ‘unique’ and it says this tech helps in high fuel efficiency and makes the engine smoother. It adds that the EI tech is easy to maintain.

The 2020 CT continues to be offered in both 100cc and 110cc engine options, however Bajaj has not mentioned their specs. In terms of changes, it gets LED DRLs and engine bash plate. The CT range starts at Rs 40,794 ex-showroom in Delhi making it the most affordable Bharat Stage 6 compliant motorcycle in the country so far. Here are the prices of all the variants..

So, as you can see, the average price hike has been in the range of Rs 6500 on these motorcycles.

2020 Platina BS6

The Platina is also offered with 100cc and 110cc engine options and comes with some minor cosmetic changes. Here are the prices..

  • Platina BS6 Kick start + alloy – Rs 47,264 (BS4 – Rs 40,896) Hike – Rs 6368
  • Platina BS6 Electric Start + alloy – Rs 54,797 (BS4 – Rs 48,429) – Hike – Rs 6368
  • Platina 110 H-Gear Disc – Rs 59,200 (BS4 – 56,371) Hike – Rs 2829

The price increase on the 100cc variant is Rs 6368 whereas the H-gear goes through the lowest increment of under Rs 3000.
