Bajaj is trying to make giant strides in order to further consolidate its share in the motorcycle segment. It has almost refreshed the complete Pulsar line-up and has announced the largest-ever Pulsar to create another round of excitement. It’s launch date has also been speculatively revealed.
Apart from sports motorcycle lovers, it is also paying heed to the economy conscious buyers and intends to do a Hero Honda CD100 of the 1980s! The idea is to garner entry level market share by introducing a CNG powered motorcycle – something that no other prominent maker has done in the world, so far.
The biggest challenge with such a product is that there is no place to install the CNG tank and this is where majority of the R&D would have gone. However, Rajiv Bajaj recently revealed that its testing is done and they have managed to advance the launch by almost a year.
In this latest update, a prominent news portal CNBC TV18 has speculated the launch date of the Bajaj CNG motorcycle on 18 June ie less than three months from now. The portal credits its sources for this update.
The spy pics of the CNG motorcycle have surfaced recently and it appears that it is ready for market distribution. Though Rajiv Bajaj has hinted at the various displacements it is working on, there is no clarity on what exact cubic capacity will it start with.

Whatever be the scenario, Bajaj expects the CNG motorcycle to be a disruptor in the Indian market scene and reduce the money spent on fuel by a major margin, at the same time being greener for the environment.
