Ather Energy will be taking the total number of charging points from 580 to 1400 by March 2023 and will share it with Hero Vida scooters…
So, Ather Energy have shared that they are working full swing to increase the current fast charging points from 580 established points to nearly 1,400 by March 2023, i.e. by end of FY23.
Ather also shared that 60% of their recent fast charger points were installed in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities primarily. These 580 fast charging points are installed across 56 cities all across India. Now, the company is aiming to add 820 more fast charging points by end of FY23, pushing the total charging point count to 1,400 in India.
These fast charging stations are able to charge the new Gen-3 450 X & 450 Plus electric scooters from Ather at the rate of 1.5 km/min. These fast charging points can be used by compatible electric 2-wheelers and 4-wheelers till the end of this year, i.e. 2022.

Recently, Hero also launched their first electric scooter under the sub-brand Vida – Vida V1 Pro & Vida V1 Plus. They announced after the unveil that these new electric scooters are capable of utilising the established Ather fast charging network, alongside Hero’s own charging stations.
This is possible because both Ather and Hero Vida use a similar universal charging connector. However, the Hero Vida electric scooters will charge at a slower 1.2 km/min charging rate compared to Ather’s 1.5 km/min rate.
Similarly, Ola Electric have also announced their own Fast charging network called Hypercharger. They have recently announced their Diwali launch event for November 22, where it is expected that Ola will be launching a more affordable 3rd S1 electric model alongside further information regarding the Hypercharger network and various accessories.
