Aprilia SR 150 Specs Released; Same as Vespa 150s

Aprilia, yes the very name instills in one a sense of speed and adrenaline rush. While the Italian two-wheeler maker is set to launch the SR 150, the country’s first sports scooter bike in the next few days, they have finally released the specifications for the vehicle. Manufactured at their parent company Piaggio’s Baramati plant, the SR 150 is the first Aprilia badged product to be made in India.

Powering the SR 150 is a 154.4 cc four stroke single cylinder mill churning out 11.55 PS of maximum power at 7,000 rpm and 11.5 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The output figures for the air cooled carburetted mill is the same as that of the Vespa 150s. The front suspension gets 32 mm hydraulic telescopic forks while the large 120/70 section 14 inch wheels give it a motorcycle like appearance.

The fuel tank has been rated to store 6 litres of fuel. Braking duties are to be overseen by a 220 mm disc brake with twin piston callipers in the front and a 240 mm drum setup in the rear. The Aprilia SR 150 has an introductory price of Rs 65,000 (ex-showroom, Pune). Now that’s certainly a mouth watering price for an Aprilia badged product!
