Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 was recently launched in the Indian market at a sticker price of Rs 2.29 lakh (ex-showroom, Tamil Nadu). Available in a single fully-loaded variant, it is rolled out in three colour schemes namely Sela Black, Mustang Brown and Nelong White. The ‘Himalayan’ nameplate completed 10 years in 2026 as the Himalayan 411 debuted in 2016 while the ongoing Himalayan 450 went on sale in 2023. The brand has sold over 3.20 lakh units of the Himalayan till date globally as it is one of the most loved middleweight adventure bikes in the world.
Royal Enfield stated that the initial units of the Himalayan 440 would flaunt an exclusive ten-year anniversary badge on the fuel tank to commemorate the legacy of Himalayan nameplate. The bookings for the adventure bike has already commenced across authorized Royal Enfield dealerships in India as the company gears up to begin the deliveries.

The Himalayan 440, identical to other Royal Enfield motorcycles, comes with a wide range of accessories which include hard panniers, top boxes, touring seats, adventure handguards, engine guards, tapered mirrors and other protection units. The company has classfied these accessories in three categories namely Protection, Luggage and Functional Accessories.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 Warranty
The adventure motorcycle gets a standard warranty of 3 years/ 30,000 km (whichever is earlier). The customers can avail an additional of 4 years/ 40,000 km (whichever is earlier) and hence, the bike comes with a comprehensive 7-year extended warranty. The buyers also get Roadside Assistance during the years of active warranty free of cost.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 Hardware
Sitting on a half-duplex split-cradle frame, the Himalayan 440 boasts of 41mm telescopic front forks with 200mm travel and linkage-type rear monoshock suspension with 180mm wheel travel. The bike has a ground clearance of 200mm as it rides on 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels. The Himalayan 440 is presented with a fuel tank capacity of 15 litres.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 Engine
The Scram 440’s 443cc single-cylinder long-stroke engine has been updated to deliver top power of 25.4 bhp at 6,250 rpm and peak torque of 34 Nm at 4,000 rpm. The NVH (Noise-Vibration-Harshness) levels have also been improved while the engine is linked to a new 6-speed gearbox with revised ratios for smooth low-speed riding. A dual-channel ABS is also offered as standard which can be switched off during off-roading.
