This specially curated piece lists the five best premium motorcycles from key two-wheeler brand which were launched in the last six months in our country
Earlier this year, it was reported that the premiumisation trend has taken over the motorcycle segment in India as sales of models with engine capacity above 350cc witnessed a boom. The customers have drifted towards higher-powered, premium bikes with advanced tech and modern features as they want bikes for fun and lifestyle, not just basic travel. Hence, several leading two-wheeler brands such as Royal Enfield, Honda and BMW launched premium motorcycles in the last 6 months in India. In this piece, we will talk about the top 5 premium bikes launched in H1 2026 in India.
1. Royal Enfield Bullet 650
Royal Enfield aficionados had to wait for more than six months to get their hands on the Bullet 650 as it finally went on sale in May 2026 in our country after its grand premiere at the EICMA in Nov 2025. Priced at Rs 3.65 lakh (ex-showroom), it became the seventh 650cc model in RE’s portfolio as it already retails the Interceptor, Continental GT, Shotgun, Bear, Super Meteor and Classic.

Rolled out in Cannon Black and Battleship Blue colours, the Bullet 650 comes with signature “Bullet” design elements while the cycle parts, engine and hardware is shared with the Classic 650. Apart from India, the Bullet 650 is sold in several global markets such as Italy, France, Spain, Germany, North America and UK.
2. BMW F 450 GS
The F 450 GS was the most anticipated motorcycle launch taking place in the first half of 2026 in India. Introduced in three trim levels namely Base, Exclusive and Trophy in a price range of Rs 4.70-5.30 lakh (ex-showroom), it was sold out even before the official launch due to overwhelming customer response. The twin-cylinder adventure motorcycle is locally produced at TVS factory in Hosur, Tamil Nadu while it has been developed in Germany.

BMW F 450 GS is presented with a first-in-segment Easy Ride Clutch (ERC) along with Shift Assistant Pro to ensure seamless upshifts and downshifts. It is powered by the newly developed 420cc twin-cylinder inline engine which generates top power of 47 bhp at 8750 rpm and highest torque of 43 Nm at 6750 rpm, linked to a 6-speed gearbox.
3. BSA Scrambler 650
The Scrambler 650 from BSA happens to be a unique motorcycle as it is the only 650cc single-cylinder model in the Indian market. Launched at a starting price of Rs 3.25 lakh (ex-showroom), it is directly aimed at Royal Enfield Bear 650. The Scrambler 650 is available in three distinct colour schemes namely Raven Black, Victor Yellow and Thunder Grey.

Taking styling cues from the iconic BSA scramblers such as the Gold Star Catalina and A10 Spitfire, it is powered by a 650cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled petrol engine which develops maximum power of 44.4 bhp at 6500 rpm and highest torque of 55 Nm at 4000 rpm, paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire spoke wheels.
4. Honda NX500 E-Clutch
Honda brought its revolutionary E-Clutch technology to India with the NX500 as it was launched in May 2026 in our country. Priced at Rs 7.44 lakh (ex-showroom, India), it is nearly Rs 1.11 lakh more expensive than the manual clutch variant. The E-Clutch tech eliminates the need for manual operation of the clutch and manages clutch engagement during starting, gear shifting, and stopping.

Hence, it helps in reducing fatigue caused by regular clutch operation during busy city roads as well as long highway stretches. Available in Mat Gunpowder Black Metallic and Pearl Horizon White colours, the NX500 E-Clutch is equipped with the 471cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine which generates maximum power of 47 bhp at 8500 rpm and peak torque of 43 Nm at 6500 rpm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
5. Ducati Panigale V4 Lamborghini
This brute of a superbike finds a mention in this piece as it happens to be the costliest motorcycle on the Indian soil. Available at a flabbergasting ex-showroom price of Rs 1 Crore, it is inspired by Lamborghini Revuelto which is the brand’s first HPEV hybrid super sports car.

Based on the Panigale V4 S, the superbike is the lightest and most powerful model in the Panigale family due to the inclusion of titanium exhaust and carbon fibre components. It is limited to only 630 units globally while already sold out. Tipping the weighing scale at just 185 kg, the Panigale V4 Lamborghini is powered by a 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale engine which develops top power of 218.5 hp at 13,500 rpm and peak torque of 122.1 Nm at 11,250 rpm.
