Hero MotoCorp was the leading two-wheeler brand in the domestic market while Bajaj Auto was the biggest exporter of two-wheelers from India
The two-wheeler sales in June 2026 grew by 21.22 percent on a YoY basis as 18,28,458 units were sold last month as compared to 15,08,378 units in June 2025. However, the MoM volumes went down marginally by 0.89 percent as 18,44,947 units were retailed in May 2026. Hero MotoCorp was the leading two-wheeler brand in the domestic market while Bajaj Auto was the biggest exporter of two-wheelers from India. Overall, with domestic volumes and exports numbers combined, TVS Motor Company emerged as India’s numero-uno two-wheeler brand.
Starting with Hero MotoCorp, as per the data released by Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA), it had 4,72,144 registrations in June 2026 in the domestic market with a YoY growth of 17.5 percent. Honda occupied the second position with 4,52,754 registrations and 20.7 percent YoY growth. The gap between the two giants is closing with each month passing.
TVS secured the third position with 3,59,243 registrations and 22.8 percent YoY growth. The company has been consistently improving its sales tally and market share due to multiple new products in the popular scooter and motorcycles segments. Bajaj Auto held on to the fourth position with 1,88,145 registrations and YoY growth of 13.5 percent in June 2026.

Suzuki Motorcycle India was able to retain the fifth position with 1,05,057 registrations and 16.2 percent YoY growth ahead of Royal Enfield, which had to remain content at the sixth spot, as domestic sales stood at 94,548 units with 25.4 percent YoY growth. We expect Royal Enfield sales to increase this month as the deliveries of its first-ever electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea, have0 commenced in the country.
Yamaha continued at the seventh position with sales of 67,696 units in the domestic market in June 2026. The company grew by 34.8 percent on a YoY basis. The Japanese brand has lined-up multiple new motorcycles and scooters for our country, which will be launched in a phase-wise manner by the end of 2026. Ather Energy, the Bengaluru-based pure EV brand, bagged the eighth spot as sales almost doubled in June 2026 at 31,230 units from 16,015 units in June 2025.

Ola Electric and Greaves Electric Mobility were the ninth and tenth biggest two-wheeler brands in June 2026 in India with volumes of 16,150 units and 10,930 units, respectively. Classic Legends, which retails Jawa, Yezdi, and BSA motorcycles in India, had 4,515 registrations in June 2026 with a staggering YoY growth of 114.4 percent.
