2 New Big Motorcycle Launches in April 2026 India

The Indian two-wheeler industry will witness the launch of two new premium motorcycles later this month from BMW and Classic Legends

The Indian two-wheeler industry recorded sales volumes of 2.14 crore units in FY26 with a YoY growth of 13.40 percent. Now, as we have already entered in the first quarter of FY27, several leading auto brands are ready to introduce their new models in the Indian market. BMW Motorrad and Classic Legends are slated to launch the F 450 GS and BSA Scrambler 650 in April 2026 in India. Hence, in this piece, we will talk in detail about the 2 new motorcycle launches taking place in April 2026 in the domestic market.

1. BMW F 450 GS

The twin-cylinder adventure motorcycle from BMW will finally be launched on Apr 23, 2026 in our market. It will be developed locally by TVS at its Hosur factory in Tamil Nadu. The first teaser of the F 450 GS is already out and the bookings are likely to commence in the next few days. The ADV bike had its world premiere at the EICMA 2025 in Italy.

Since it is a premium offering, we can expect most of the latest bells and whistles in the ADV bike such as LED headlight with “X” daytime riding light, USD telescopic front forks, Ride Modes (Rain, Road, Enduro, and Enduro Pro), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Easy Ride Clutch (ERC), Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), 6.5-inch TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and ABS Pro.

BMW F 450 GS will be powered by a 420cc twin-cylinder water-cooled engine which churns out top power of 7 bhp at 8750 rpm and highest torque of 43 Nm at 6750 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The F 450 GS will take on other single and twin-cylinder adventure bikes in India such as Kawasaki Ninja 500, KTM 390 Adventure and Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. It is likely to come with an on-road price of around Rs 5 lakh.

2. BSA Scrambler 650

Classic Legends has announced the launch of the BSA Scrambler 650 on April 23, 2026 in the country. It will be the second BSA model to go on sale in India after the Gold Star 650. The Scrambler motorcycle had its world premiere in July 2025 in the UK. Flaunting a rugged and neo-retro design, the Scrambler 650 tips the weighing scale at 218 kg.

Riding on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire spoke wheels, it gets a raised front fender, single-piece seat, teardrop shaped fuel tank, circular LED headlamp with optional grille, and a side plate with ‘65’ graphics. The Scrambler will come equipped with a 652cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled petrol engine which develops top power of 45 hp at 6500 rpm and peak torque of 55 Nm at 4000 rpm. The engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
