The scooter industry continued with strong sales momentum in Jan 2026 as almost every model recorded positive YoY growth
We earlier shared with you all the list of best-selling two-wheeler models in Jan 2026 in the Indian market. A separate list of highest-selling motorcycles was also compiled for the convenience of our readers. Now, it’s the turn of top-selling scooters in the month of Jan 2026 in the domestic market. The scooter segment posted strong YoY growth of 40.88 percent last month as the top 10 models accounted for a total of 6,69,955 units. Hence, in this piece, we will talk in detail about the top 10 scooters in terms of sales numbers in Jan 2026.
Honda Activa continued to be on top of the list with sales of 2,71,924 units. It has been ruling the scooter segment effortlessly from the last so many years with almost zero resistance from any other rival model. The Activa has a healthy market share of more than 40 percent in the scooter segment which simply reflects its one-sided dominance.

The second position was captured by TVS Jupiter with 1,29,744 units in Jan 2026. It registered a YoY growth of 20.3 percent as the brand had managed to retail 1,07,847 units in Jan 2025. The Jupiter was also the highest-selling model in TVS portfolio while it is available with 110cc and 125cc engine options. TVS Jupiter had a market share of close to 20 percent.

The third position was bagged by Suzuki Access as 69,042 units were retailed last month in the domestic market. The YoY sales went up by 26.48 percent with 54,587 units being sold during the same period last year. The Access had a market share of slightly over 10 percent. It is the best-selling Suzuki scooter in India, surpassing the sales of other models such as Avenis and Burgman Street.
The fourth and fifth spots belonged to two TVS models namely iQube and Ntorq, respectively. While the iQube has been ruling the roost in the electric two-wheeler segment for several months on the trot, the Ntorq too has been recording decent sales volumes over the years. Both these scooters posted YoY growth in excess of 50 percent in Jan 2026.

The sixth, seventh and eighth positions were secured by Bajaj Chetak EV, Hero Destini 125 and Honda Dio with sales of 28,216 units, 27,782 units, and 25,462 units, respectively. All the scooters mentioned before witnessed positive YoY growth. The ninth and tenth spots went to Suzuki Burgman and Ather Rizta with 23,474 units and 20,155 units, respectively.
