Amidst the ongoing COVID-19 rage, Suzuki has officially announced the launch of the 2021 Hayabusa in India. The model that was recently globally unveiled, is making a comeback after skipping one complete emission norms.
Suzuki has kept the traditional Hayabusa taste to the styling, though it looks a lot more streamlined and modern in the new avatar. The new Hayabusa continues with the same 1340 cc fuel injected, liquid cooled, DOHC, in-line four cylinder engine but it has been updated to meet the Bharat Stage 6 (and EURO 5) emission norms.
As a result, both power and torque are slightly down to 190 PS at 9700 rpm and 150 Nm at 7000 rpm respectively. Despite that Suzuki claims that the new Hayabusa is better to ride.
In terms of electronics and features, the 2021 Hayabusa comes with Ride modes, Active Speed Limiter, 3 mode Launch Control System, Suzuki Easy Start System, Low RPM Assist, Cruise Control System, Combined Brake System, Motion Track Brake System, Hill Hold Control and Slope Dependent Control System.

The previous generation of the model used to cost Rs 13.75 Lakh and that means the price hike is around Rs 2.65 Lakh. But this is a good price considering the overall premium motorcycle segment and the host of updates that have gone onto the new model.

The new Hayabusa is available in three color options – Glass Sparkle Black/ Candy Burnt Gold, Pearl Brilliant White/ Metallic Mat Stellar Blue and Metallic Mat Sword Silver/ Candy Daring Red.
