TVS Says – Apache 200 ABS & FI Coming in Two Months But….

The delay in the launch of fuel injected Apache 200 is becoming a matter of conjecture. TVS had the production-ready units available during media rides back in January 2016 and the question is – what is causing so much of delay?

Earlier this year, we sought an official response from TVS – to which they revealed that the carburetor version of the motorcycle has high demand and they are trying to complete its supplies. Fuel injected version of the motorcycle was to be ready to be shipped to dealerships in around two months. Here is our older story.

With a month already over the earlier given timeframe, we connected with TVS’ spokesperson yet again only to receive exactly the same response of ‘carburetor variant in high demand, FI unit in two months‘. The only difference is that they have said that the ABS version of the motorcycle will also be launched around the same time (it may possibly be a single variant as well).

We tested the Apache 200 FI variant and it was considerably better than the carb variant

However, to further create doubts on this arrival time frame of the awaited variant of Apache 200, the official Facebook page, according to Motoroids, has given a time frame of third quarter of 2017 (Oct-Dec this year).

So clearly, TVS’ communication teams do NOT seem to be on the same page and they are as clueless about the motorcycle as anything. Our advice – go with whatever you plan to buy and only believe TVS when the motorcycle actually arrives in dealerships. We have recently tested the carb Apache 200 and you can read our review here.
