2023 Shine 125 price has been hiked by Rs 1100 and it gets OBD2 compliance to be eligible for sale in India…
After its Unicorn 160, Honda has updated another high seller Shine 125 with the mandatory OBD2 compliance in India. The 2023 version of Shine has been officially launched and that is the only change it gets. It must be noted that all 2-wheelers manufactured after 31st March 2023 had to comply with the new emission norms in order to be eligible for sale. The change this time was that there was no prohibition on sale of 2-wheelers and rather it was only on their manufacturing.
The 2023 Shine 125, which is the largest selling 125cc motorcycle in India, continues with the same tried and tested formula of a basic, simple, utilitarian steed. It comes with a larger 651 mm seat, long 1285 mm wheelbase and a 162 mm high ground clearance.
The new model continues to produce 7.9 KW (10.74 PS) of peak power and 11 Nm of max torque from its 123.9 cc engine. It comes with Honda’s ACG starter that offers a jolt free start (without the need for a conventional starter motor), 5-speed transmission, Combi braking system and a sealed chain.
