2023 Unicorn price is almost Rs 4000 higher than the older model. There is not a lot that appears to have changed…
Did you know that Honda’s first motorcycle in India was the Unicorn which was launched around 2004. Though it did not appeal to the sporty customers back then, it did create a niche of its own in the following years – because of its simplicity, utility and engine refinement.
Honda tried various different motorcycles in the 150-160cc space – Dazzler, Trigger, Old Unicorn 160, etc, however, nothing worked. In fact, to make way for other motorcycles Honda discontinued the Unicorn 150 but that backfired! People started moving to other makers and Honda’s market share dropped.
This is when Honda was forced to reintroduce the old workhorse and due to its popularity, it even had to upgrade it to a bigger engine, new emission norms etc. Flip to today and the motorcycle lives on…
Through a press note, Honda has announced the launch of the 2023 Unicorn that has now received the OBD-2 compliance that became mandatory on 1st April 2023, in India. We do not see anything changed in the model, apart from the new mandate.
