In India, 150cc is probably the most fiercely fought segment with competitors from TVS, Yamaha, Bajaj, Honda, etc – all fighting to attract customer eyeballs one way or the other. Competition means that we get to see new 150cc models, apart from various updates very frequently.
Following suit, Yamaha has updated their 150 cc offering – FZS-Fi – for the year 2022 and has introduced a new top-spec model – FZS Dlx.
2022 Yamaha FZX DLX
Here are all the new features on the new flagship FZS DLX model…
- New Colors – Metallic Black, Metallic Deep Red and Solid Grey
- LED tail light
- Coloured alloy wheels
- LED flashers
- Dual-tone seat (only in Metallic Black and Metallic Deep Red color options. The grey color comes with black seat)
The standard FZS has received two new colors – Matte Red and Matte Blue apart from LED tail light.

All the FZ-Fi models remain identical to each other. They are powered by the same 149 cc, 2-valve, SOHC, single-cylinder engine that puts out 12.4 PS of power and 13.3 Nm of torque. They continue to use the 5-speed gearbox.
Entry Level R15S Launched; More Powerful Than R15 V4
Both the FZS-Fi variants are equipped with Yamaha’s Connect-X app that allows smartphone pairability for added features like Locate my vehicle, Answer back, Riding history, etc.
The 2022 FZS range will go on sale from second week of January 2022 onwards across all Yamaha dealerships.
These bikes can be had alongside the recently added neo-retro styled FZ-X. The FZ-X is available in single variant at Rs. 1,24,300/- (ex-showroom).
