Few TVS Fiero details have been revealed by company’s Joint Managing Director. It will most probably be launched on 16th September.
TVS Motor, which has not been able to do good in the 125cc motorcycle space, with offerings like GLX125, Phoenix, etc, is turning its focus back in this segment. It currently is absent here and is definitely losing a lot of business.
With the widening of the overall market with massive increments in prices, 125cc segment has become an important area for almost all mass market manufacturers. Bajaj recently forayed here with its Pulsar brand and has tasted success. TVS is set to do something similar.
In an interview, Sudarshan Venu, Joint MD at TVS Motor, revealed some details of its upcoming product. He cleared that the motorcycle will be in the 125cc space and will have Apache and Ntorq like sporty character. He added that it will be the motorcycle with first in class ride modes along with segment-best acceleration.
The upcoming model will also have a TFT cluster with navigation feature – similar to the Ntorq. He added that it will offer a good mileage at the same time. He added that it will be launched within September.
Sudarshan did not reveal the name of the motorcycle but this definitely takes us to TVS’ filing for the name Fiero 125 and we are fairly confident that the motorcycle will be called by this once-popular name.
It must also be noted that TVS has scheduled a launch on 16th September and it is a big possibility – almost a confirmation – that the company would unveil the new Fiero on this day.
We will get to know about it on its media ride that we will attend in Hosur on 14th September (however, due to an embargo we may not be able to talk about it before the launch).

Fiero, with sporty intents, is definitely an exciting story and one that will spice up the segment…
