Global unveil of the new generation KTM RC range took place in August 2021. This is the second generation of the mini supersport that has come after its debut in 2014. Shortly after, the entry models – 2022 RC125 and RC200 have been launched in India. We are the first market to get these motorcycles.
2022 RC200
A lot has been talked about the new styling of the updated RCs and the idea, clearly, is to lend them a relatively more acceptable form – which, KTM believes, will widen its prospects.
Apart from a completely new design language, the new RC200 comes with adjustable handlebars, LED headlamp, larger airbox, sharper tail lamp design, curved radiator, windscreen with laser texture, integrated front position lamp which houses side blinkers and aluminium split pillion grab rail.
The fuel tank capacity has seen the much needed increase from 9.5 liters to 13.7 liters which should translate to a significantly higher range. There is a new stiffer, split steel trellis frame. The 200 continues with dual channel ABS but now also gets a Supermoto mode.
Aside this, the wheels have been made lighter and stiffer and there is a new 320 mm front disc and 230 mm rear disc which have also shed some weight. The RC200 also comes with a new LCD dash that shows host of info.
In the international markets the mid sizer is offered with halogen lamps, however, specifically for India KTM has chosen to lend it new LED headlamps.

The same 200cc, liquid cooled engine continues to do duty. It produces 19 KW (25.83 PS) of peak power and 19.5 Nm of max torque.

Despite so many changes, the new RC200 costs the same as the outgoing model. However, it must also be noted that the price of the older model was increased multiple times to arrive at this figure.
There are two colors on offer – Dark Galvano and Silver Metallic. Bookings of the new RC200 are open across all KTM dealerships in India.
