2021 Xpulse 200T BS6 price hike is almost Rs 8000 in six months of its launch.

Earlier this year in March, 2021 Xpulse 200T was launched in India with BS6 compliance. Hero promotes it as a tourer. However, within six months of its launch, it has received as many as three price hikes.

The tourer Xpulse was launched in India in May 2019 at Rs 94,000. The BS6 variant debuted at Rs 1,12,800. This means that it has gotten costlier by Rs 26,650 in slightly over 2 years which corresponds to whopping 28 percent.

And even the BS6 variant has already seen three price hikes and is costlier by Rs 7850 within 6 months.

Like the company’s other 200cc models, the Xpulse 200T carries the same, new Bharat Stage 6 compliant 199.6cc, single cylinder engine but it now gets oil cooling, which is the biggest change in the model. It produces 18.08 PS of peak power at 8500 rpm and 16.15 Nm of max torque at 6500 rpm.

Compare this with the 18.4 PS (at 8000 rpm) and 17.1 Nm (at 6500 rpm) of the BS4 model, we notice that the drop in power is 0.32 PS whereas torque is down by almost 1 Nm. While the torque peaks at the same rpm as before, max power is now produced 500 rpm later in the rev range. For some reason, the 200T produces the least torque among all the company’s 200s.

Fourth Price Hike for Xpulse; Gets Costlier by ₹9500 This Year

The new 200T sits comfortably between the Xtreme 160R and the Xpulse 200 ADV and is the most affordable 200cc motorcycle in India at the moment.
