Understanding the big threats that are coming from all cylinders – specially from a very shrewd manufacturer like Honda, Royal Enfield has been on its toes and has announced that it is working on revamping its entire lineup.
This will include brand new products in different niches to widen the customer base along with updates to the existing products. Himalayan, which was a completely new area for Royal Enfield, has now become consistent with sales, after the initial niggles that marred its prospects.
The Chennai based brand introduced the updated model of the ADV earlier this year which included many mechanical and cosmetic changes. In a latest update, a new test mule of the Himalayan has been caught on the road, probably somewhere down South.
It is a very unclear pic and not much can be ascertained about the changes, however, there is something that the maker is testing on the model. It could be the 2021 year model which may get further betterments to the engine and other areas.

The other possibility that the top officials hinted few years back is the dual cylinder Himalayan 650 that will get the twin motor from the 650 twins. However, I believe it is still some time away and this is not that model.
