2021 Himalayan Launched at 2.01 Lakh; Gets Tripper Navigation

2021 Himalayan price is approx Rs 10,000 more than before on the entry model. There are many changes and few feature additions…

Once upon a time, Royal Enfield was one of the most laidback manufacturers which dragged older motorcycles for years. But that was the time when it did not have a lot of competition.

But now, it is facing direct rivalry from some big names in the industry – that includes the very shrewd Honda! This has brought the maker on the edge of its seat and it is now working on a comprehensive upgrade to its motorcycle lineup.

The plan also includes bettering existing products and the 2021 Himalayan is the latest example of the same. The ADV, that was upgraded to Bharat Stage 6 emission norms last year, has been introduced with many changes.

The 2021 Himalayan comes with Royal Enfield Tripper navigation system that first debuted on the Meteor 350. That means you can connect your smartphone and get turn by turn navigation functionality via the help of Google maps. There is a separate pod that displays this information.

Alongside this, there are few functional changes like a new taller windscreen, rear carrier, seat, etc. And how can an update go without new shades? The new Himalayan gets three new colorways – Mirage Silver, Pine Green and Granite Black. The older Granite Black shade has been discontinued. Rock Red, Gravel Grey and Lake Blue have been carried over.
